Bio

Vanina Soppa is the co-manager of Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Greenfield. Arriving from Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2002, her road was an exceptional battle of will and determination. Although she came to the U.S. armed with a degree in elementary education, she began at Fred Astaire in September of 2002 with a limited use of the English language and no formal dance background. Having been trained by entrepreneurial parents, however, she was no stranger to hard work. After becoming one of the region's top teachers, she was asked to take up the position of supervisor. Soon after, she was promoted to manage the entire school, as her department was doing so well. Vanina believes it's possible to acheive anything through hard work and determination. She competed professionally in the American Rhythm division for many years with her husband, Rick Soppa. Together they have earned many titles, including 2006 Fred Astaire CCDC Rising Star Rhythm Champions, as well as 2008 Wisconsin State Rising Star Rhythm Champions.
