Bio

Mr. Tim was born in Scarborough, England and was raised in York, England. He got his start in ballroom dancing at age 15 at the studio his parents, both professional dancers, directed. Mr. Tim studied with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), a prestigious and one of the largest organizations in the world. His dance studies include: Ballroom, Latin, Disco and Rock and Roll. He also has a background in business, finance and management.

Before coming to the United States, Mr. Tim competed as an amateur dancer in England. He was awarded the IDTA medal of the year five times, was the IDTA national Latin champion and was ranked 5th in England in the Latin.

Mr. Tim "crossed the pond" and has taught and coached at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Connecticut, Massachusetts and St. Petersburg, FL. In the United States he has competed professionally in the Smooth and Rhythm divisions. Some of his most notable titles and placements include: Northeast USA Rising Star Rhythm champion, Fred Astaire Dance Studios Smooth and Rhythm finalist, 17 time Tampa Bay Fred Astaire Dance Studios Pro Champion and finalist at competitions across New England.

When teaching Mr. Tim enjoys seeing students achieve progress and bring out the dancer within. "If you have two left feet, I will make one right."

In reference to his personal dancing he likes moving his body to music and connecting to his partner.

When he is not dancing his hobbies include golf, watching movies and spending time with his dog.
